The new Worshipful Master of the Lodge of Fidelity, W Bro Michael Fielding, was on hand to help deliver a dose of festive cheer to a local charity.
The members of Lodges that meet in Headingley’s Castle Grove Masonic Hall have once again donated a huge range of gifts to a number of local charities.
Organisations receiving gifts this year include Leeds Children’s Charity, HOPE (Halton Moor & Osmondthorpe Project for Everyone), Leeds Baby Bank, St George’s Crypt and the Leeds Jewish Welfare Board.
Amanda Burdon Family Outreach Support Worker at LJWB commented, “We are delighted to receive the generous donation of toys and gifts from Mark, Michael, and Graham on behalf of the Castle Grove Lodges. I am sure every one of our families will greatly appreciate the kind thoughts and donation of gifts from the Castle Grove Masonic Lodges for their children at Chanukah.”
Leeds Freemason and Toy & Gift Appeal co-ordinator Graham Shiers said: “As Freemasons, charity is very close to our hearts. All the gifts and donations have come directly from our members and I would like to personally thank everyone who so generously donated to this year’s appeal.”
Graham added: “We are extremely proud to support the communities we live and work in and these toys and gifts are going to charities that do so much to provide much needed assistance to local children and their families.”
