Happy International Womens Day!
Chantelle Grant is the most recent member of Speak Woman Speak (SWS). She came to the UK when she was young from Barbados. Chantelle Maria Grant is a painter, poet, actor and facilitator will be facilitating some workshops with us later on in the year.
What made you join SWS?
I came across a flyer unexpectedly on Facebook. It pulled me in because it was a group specifically for black and brown women discussing women's issues and mental health. Being part of SWS has helped to pull myself back to my creativity and peace and remind myself how I feel when I'm in my creative mode.
What does it mean to be an international woman?
Living and experiencing life in two different settings. I enjoy travel and can travel between. I am open to going to these different places and I've passed that onto my daughter as well.
