Meet Katy 💚

Say hello to Katy, our Support Services Manager in Leeds.

Katy spoke to us about what her role involves, what she enjoys most about working at Green Bridge Community Housing, and what she enjoys most about supporting others.

We also asked Katy a couple of fun questions! If she could try any job for a day, she’d choose to be a wedding content creator 📸💍 and here’s a fun fact you might not know... she’s also a qualified wedding celebrant.

Celebrating Jawad this International Youth Day 💚

Jawad came to the UK from Afghanistan and is now working towards building a positive future for himself.

Since being supported by Green Bridge Community Housing, he’s been growing in confidence and independence, improving his English and attending college, where he’s working towards qualifications to help him pursue a career in security.

For International Youth Day, we asked Jawad to share a little about his journey, what he’s proud of and what he hopes to achieve in the future.

We’re proud to share his story and celebrate the progress he’s making.

We're looking forward to welcoming the Magpies Support Group to Green Bridge Community Housing next week.

Run by Sheffield Mind, this friendly and welcoming group is for anyone who struggles with hoarding behaviours. It's a safe space to talk, connect with others and receive support in a relaxed and understanding environment.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of every month.

Our Bedford team was proud to be the main sponsor of the fantastic Cricket for Hope event, bringing together local organisations, volunteers, players and supporters to raise an incredible £25,261 for Feed Up Warm Up.
That amount is enough to keep the charity's services running for 4–5 months, helping to provide hot meals, street outreach and vital mental health support to people who need it most.

It was great to see attendees including Monty Panesar, David James and David Hoskins.

🎉 Congratulations! 🎉

One of our residents recently shared this photo with us after receiving an award at Cortonwood Comeback Community Centre, and we couldn't be happier to celebrate their achievement.

It's fantastic to see the hard work they've been putting into improving their life recognised. Volunteering can open so many doors, helping people build confidence, learn new skills and become part of their community.

As we celebrate Good Care Month, this is a great reminder that good care is about supporting people to build confidence, achieve their goals and celebrate every success along the way.

We're incredibly proud of everything they've achieved so far and can't wait to see what comes next.
