We started the day with hail and heavy thunderstorms and ended our Gipton Craft Garden session in blazing sun!
It may look over grown but little by little we are opening up our new enclosed back garden space, cutting out massive self seeded trees and replacing gravel recycled by one of our lovely growers.
The open access front garden was established in 2017 with a strong forest garden, permaculture approach. We look at forgotten uses for all plants from eating, remedies, art and practical uses, using them in our sessions whenever we can. We have visiting artists and trips.
In both gardens our challenge is how to create a sustainable space that can with stand the climate challenges
We celebrate what we have done, no contribution or step is too small. We work slowly making plenty of time for tea and chat and ideas.

We meet Thursdays 10-12 at the Church of Epiphany in Gipton.
