Happy August 15th from the Greek Orthodox Community of the 3 Hierarchs in Leeds and thank you to the volunteers who prepared souvlakia today.

Join us for delicious Souvlakia: 16/08/2026!!!

Με αφορμή την γιορτή της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου, την Κυριακή 16/08/2026, θα προσφέρονται σουβλάκια με το πέρας της Θ. Λειτουργίας. £10 για ενήλικες, £6 για παιδιά.

On the occasion of the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos, on Sunday 16/08/2026, we will be offering souvlakia after the Sunday Service. £10 for adults, £6 for children.

A message from Xanthi, Chris and Nick Kyriacou, family of Kikis/Charles Kyriacou:

The funeral of Kikis/Charles Kyriacou will take place on Wednesday 19th August. It will begin at 11.30am at The Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church”, 57 Harehills Avenue, Leeds, LS8 4EU.

We will then proceed to Lawnswood Cemetery, Otley Road, Adel, Leeds, LS16 6AH.

We then invite you to join us for drinks, food and sharing of stories about our Dad back at the hall of The Church of the Holy Three Hierarchs.

Donations to the community, please no flowers.

We are overwhelmed by the kind words shared by the community and beyond in response to our loss. After fighting a short but uncompromising illness, Dad sadly passed away on Friday 24th July. We were with him throughout. As you can imagine, we are heartbroken and are struggling to imagine life without him.

Please bear with us as we respond individually to the huge amount of love and compassion you have all shown our father. It is heartwarming to know just how many lives he positively influenced.

Η κηδεία θα τελεστεί την Τετάρτη 19 Αυγούστου. Θα ξεκινήσει στις 11:30 π.μ. στον Ιερό Ναό των Αγίων Τριών Ιεραρχών (The Three Hierarchs Greek Orthodox Church), στη διεύθυνση: 57 Harehills Avenue, Chapel Allerton, Leeds, LS8 4EU.

Στη συνέχεια, θα κατευθυνθούμε στο κοιμητήριο Lawnswood (Lawnswood Cemetery), στη διεύθυνση: Otley Road, Adel, Leeds, LS16 6AH.

Ακολούθως, σας προσκαλούμε να μας συνοδεύσετε για ποτό, φαγητό και για να μοιραστούμε ιστορίες για τον πατέρα μας, στην αίθουσα του Ιερού Ναού των Αγίων Τριών Ιεραρχών.

Είμαστε βαθιά συγκινημένοι από τα θερμά λόγια συμπαράστασης που λάβαμε από την κοινότητα και όχι μόνο, μετά την απώλειά μας. Έπειτα από μια σύντομη αλλά αμείλικτη ασθένεια, ο πατέρας μας έφυγε δυστυχώς από τη ζωή την Παρασκευή 24 Ιουλίου. Βρισκόμασταν στο πλευρό του καθ' όλη τη διάρκεια. Όπως μπορείτε να φανταστείτε, είμαστε συντετριμμένοι και δυσκολευόμαστε να διανοηθούμε τη ζωή χωρίς εκείνον.

Παρακαλούμε για την κατανόησή σας καθώς προσπαθούμε να ανταποκριθούμε προσωπικά στην τεράστια αγάπη και συμπόνια που δείξατε όλοι στον πατέρα μας. Είναι συγκινητικό να γνωρίζουμε πόσες ζωές επηρέασε θετικά.

*In Loving Memory of Charles (Kiki) Kyriacou*

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our esteemed community member, Trustee and Honorary Consul for Cyprus, Charles (Kiki) Kyriacou.

Charles passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on 24 July 2026, at the age of 68, following a short illness.

A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Charles leaves behind his devoted wife, Xanthippi, his sons, Christopher and Nicholas, and his cherished granddaughter, Sabrina Bobbie. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral details will be announced in due course.

We thank everyone for their love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
