Our impact doesn't stop at our centre doors. 🌍💙

Our recent Ofsted inspection recognised that leaders at our London centre have a far-reaching impact beyond the setting — coaching families to implement strategies at home, and working with other settings to develop staff expertise. ✨

Inspectors noted that we:

• 👪 Support families to use ABA strategies in everyday life
• 🏫 Provide outreach support and training to other settings
• 🎓 Help children structure their own learning independently at home
• 🤝 Work closely with speech and language therapists, educational psychologists and schools
• 🔄 Share strategies that bring consistency wherever a child learns

When a child can take what they've learned with us and use it at home, in school, and in their community — that's when real, lasting change happens. 🌟

One of the most meaningful moments in our work is supporting a child to move on to mainstream school. 🏫💙

Our recent Ofsted report recognised this as part of why our London centre was rated Exceptional for Inclusion. Inspectors noted that some children are able to move on to mainstream school, receiving highly individualised support for the transition. ✨

What does that support look like?

• 🤝 Close collaboration with school staff to share strategies and techniques
• 🏫 Our team attending the school in person
• 🔄 Continued sessions at our centre alongside the school placement for some children
• 📚 Sharing consistent approaches so children can access future learning
• 💪 Personalised transition planning rooted in each child's needs

Transitions are one of the hardest moments for many autistic children, and one of the most important to get right. Consistency between settings is what makes the difference. 🌟

Independence isn't just a goal - it's a journey we take with every child. 🌱

Our recent Ofsted report highlighted how children at AP UK develop crucial life skills. Inspectors observed children developing independence in self-care routines, including dressing, toileting, and eating, whilst learning to use everyday equipment safely. ✨

Real examples of what children learn:

🍞 Using knives to spread butter on toast
🚸 Using pedestrian crossings safely
🧼 Washing hands before preparing snacks
👕 Dressing independently
🍽️ Self-feeding skills
🏃 Building physical skills at the local park

These might seem like small steps, but they're huge milestones for our children and their families. Each new skill brings greater independence, confidence, and quality of life. 💪

Real independence comes from mastering everyday tasks. 🌟

At AP UK, we focus heavily on daily living skills that make a genuine difference to children's independence and quality of life:

• Self-feeding and using utensils 🍽️

• Household tasks (tidying, making snacks) 🏠

We are thrilled to share that our London centre has been rated "Exceptional" for Inclusion by Ofsted, with five further areas rated as a "Strong Standard" in our March 2026 inspection. 🌟✨

"Exceptional" is Ofsted's highest possible grade — defined as practice "of the highest standard nationally" that other settings can learn from. 💙

"From day one, our daughter was able to engage with them like we had never seen her do before."

💕This is from one of our families, and stories like this are why we do what we do. ❤️Their daughter had received NHS Speech and Language Therapy and specialist services from the local authority, including a 1:1 teaching assistant in nursery and school. Despite all this support, she wasn't making meaningful progress. 😔
