We gather on Sundays at 9am and 1030am.

You would be so welcome to join us. Welcome to St John's Church in the Parish of Wortley & Farnley. We are growing and friendly church, consisting on a wonderful mix of every age and stage! We're a broad church who relish the journey we are on together with Jesus as we seek to know Him more and live out our faith in our day to day lives. There's something

for everyone going on in Wortley and Farnley. If you prefer calm and dignified our 9am Classical service is for you. If you like energy and a family-friendly environment, then the 1030 Relaxed service is for you. And if you struggle to get out of bed on a Sunday morning, then you can join us for our 10am Online service. If Sundays don't work, then we have a mid-week communion on a Wednesday at 11am followed by lunch. We've also got toddler groups, Messy Church, Friday socials, Tuesday Morning Prayer, and a whole host of other things going on. Our current church building has been here for the past 120 years, and replaced an even older building on the same site - so we've been around for a very long time in our community. We love our parish of Wortley and Farnley and would love to get to know you.

This Saturday we take Messy Church to Farnley.

Join us at Farnley Community Centre on Saturday 13th June, 3–5pm for an afternoon of crafts, games, activities, food, fun, and exploring faith together.
It’s relaxed, friendly, free, and open to all children and families — whether you’ve been before or are coming for the first time.

Sundays at St John's
9am - Classical Service. Hymns, robes, organ, and liturgy to draw you into God's presence.
10am - Kids Connect Cafe. A relaxed space for children to play, have a drink and snack, and get to know each other before church.
1030am - Relaxed Service. With energy, participation, noise, and contemporary worship come and receive a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
