Help 4 Male Victims of Domestic Abuse

Help 4 Male Victims of Domestic Abuse The charity’s aim and objectives is to reach out to the potential and current male victims of Intimate partner violence.

Help 4 male victims of intimate partner’s violence can refer and provide support for dealing with every aspect as a result of such domestic abuse such as going to court up to child(ren) custody battle. We also look into the relationships or marriage to see how best it could be restored. We aim to improve communication between the both parties at least for the best interest of the children. We enco

urage the present and potential male victims to pursue personal and collective empowerment. Be attuned to issues of partner’s violence/abuse and demonstrate sensitivity towards gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and other “differences” that are devalued by society. We on our own, do participate in social movement activities and model for “clients” how to become involved in social change. We work in a highly participatory and collaborative manner with “clients,” sharing power over the therapeutic process. Attend to internal experiences and concrete realities faced by “clients.” Work with “clients” in natural settings and accompany them to court, if they so desire, to obtain resources and support from other sources or to advocate for themselves. Encourage “clients” to move beyond therapy to develop supportive social networks and to participate in self-help/mutual aid groups and other community organizations focused on mutual support and social change.

Our Story

Help 4 male victims of intimate partner’s violence aims to improve communication between the both parties at least for the best interest of the children. Though, it’s not widely admitted, domestic abuse also affects men that is the reason we run the monthly support group for men who have been abused by their partners. The support group will ultimately equip men with better knowledge and the skills to deal with their situation. Through the group participation, men learn from the facilitators and each other’s on how best to improve their lives and coping skills, in addition to improve their sense of self-worth and self-esteem. We provide a 1-1 holistic support for these men.We provide them with the necessary support and attend court hearing with those going for their children custody. We run a parenting program for these men as well and periodically organise conferences where we invite motivational and professional speakers to address the audience. Most men have unlawfully been abused and prevented access to their children.
