Huge congratulations to Simon and his team at Corn Mill Lodge Hotel and Restaurant for completing Age and Dementia Friendly Training in collaboration with the Leeds Older People's Forum

Their new on-site Age and Dementia Ambassador ensures they can offer tailored, person-centered support for guests living with dementia.

They have also upgraded their main restaurant. It is a wonderful space built for everyone.

Delicious Menus: Serving a great range of dishes.

Inclusive Seating: The main restaurant now features quiet, dedicated areas for private functions at the centre of their restaurant.

Accessibility: Excellent amenities designed to provide comfortable, stress-free dining for individuals with dementia, as well as learning and physical disabilities.

Provide outstanding service to our members, their families and the wider community

The sun is out and so are we! ☀️

Our amazing members are having a blast staying active and healthy at our chair-based exercise club!

We proved today that you do not even need to stand up to get moving and have a great time. There was plenty of laughter, great music, and wonderful company.

💙 GIVING LONELINESS A VOICE THIS WEEK! 💙

It is Loneliness Awareness Week across the UK! Here at Armley Helping Hands, we want everyone in Leeds to know that you are never truly alone.

Being lonely is a normal human feeling. However, staying isolated for a long time can really hurt our health. In fact, deep loneliness can be just as bad for your body as smoking 15 ci******es a day! It can lead to high stress, depression, and memory problems. It also makes it harder for our wonderful neighbourhood to stay strong and look out for each other.We are here to change that!

🌟At Armley Helping Hands, our whole mission is to fight isolation. We love helping our local older people and their families and local residents feel happy, active, and connected.

Come and join us for some of our amazing activities this week:

Fun Social Days: Pop in for our friendly coffee mornings, lunch clubs, arts and crafts, Musical Afternoon or games!

Exciting Outings: Join us for fun shopping trips and lovely days out.

Easy Travel: Do not worry about how to get here. Our friendly minibuses will pick you up right from your door and take you home safely!
