Red Flags: an interactive theatre production exploring the early warning signs of domestic abuse and coercive control within a gay relationship.

The performance invites audience members to participate, reflect on what is happening on stage, and join a supportive discussion about recognising unhealthy behaviours and accessing help.

Soundproofbox creates socially engaged theatre that opens conversations about important and often difficult subjects. Through accessible performances and audience participation, we aim to encourage greater awareness, understanding and positive change.

Join storyteller Katy Cawkwell in her latest performance, Lilith. Shocking, seductive and entertaining.

Lilith, the first wife of Adam, was not prepared to lie down and accept what was given to her. Thrown out of Eden, she slithered back in to take her revenge and wake Eve up to what her body could do.

Katy mixes myth from Arabia, Ethiopia, Mesopotamia and Jewish tradition, with a dash of feminist flavouring and a large dollop of her own wild dreaming in this dramatic, one-woman spoken word show.

Join us for our Pride Together event on Silver Sunday!

Silver Sunday is held nationally on the 4th October - a day celebrating older people and bringing communities together through activities, events and opportunities to connect.

This year, we’re celebrating Silver Sunday with our event - Pride Together - a special afternoon bringing older LGBTQ+ people from across Yorkshire together for good company, conversation and community.

We’re delighted to be hosting the event in collaboration with Lloyds Bank and Silver Pride London, creating an afternoon where our community can come together, enjoy some great entertainment and meet new people.

And the best part? It’s completely FREE to attend.

You can expect entertainment from Marigold Addams, Kuill & others, plus a bar, café and outdoor seating space, with food & drinks available to buy on the day.

Looking for something active and social to do this evening?

Our weekly badminton session at The Gryphon takes place tonight from 8pm, and we still have spaces available.

With six courts in use, this is our regular bumper session and one of the easiest opportunities to get involved. Whether you’re trying badminton for the first time, returning after a break, or looking to play more regularly, you’ll find a friendly and inclusive environment where all abilities are welcome.

For Angels of Freedom, sport is about more than physical activity. It’s about creating opportunities for connection, wellbeing and belonging within our LGBTQ+ communities.
