Ann Maguire Arts Education Fund The Fund provides grants for the enhancement and personal development of young people under 18 years Ann Maguire was a 61 year old school teacher from Leeds.

A kind, caring, wonderful woman to all that knew her and to thousands of school children she was their exceptional and inspirational teacher 'Mrs Maguire'. The death of Ann Maguire shocked the nation when she was fatally stabbed in her school classroom in April 2014. The love and energy she brought to her work was tangible. Her understanding of the range of problems facing young people- unique. Sh

e never let today’s failure hinder tomorrow’s opportunity for improvement. Ann could quietly “redirect the lost”, “raise the vision of many” and “inspire the best”. The ‘extra mile’ was part of her everyday teaching routine! The Ann Maguire Arts Education Fund has been created through donations made in Ann's memory. Its aim is to enhance the personal development of young people under 18 years old through music, drama, language and dance.
