Well, I think it's safe to say we're officially ready for the colder weather! 🍂❄️

Eli's all wrapped up in his big fluffy coat, woolly hat and snood, looking like he's about to embark on an expedition to the North Pole! 🤣🐧

I'm not entirely sure whether I've dressed a little boy or a miniature grizzly bear, but either way, he's absolutely ADORABLE! 😭😍

The coat might be bigger than him, but there's still plenty of room for all that cheekiness underneath! 🤣💙

🍂💙 From Autumn Adventures to Cosy Little Dens! 💙🏕️

We've had a lovely morning exploring the outdoors, collecting colourful autumn leaves and enjoying some fresh air! 🍁🍂

But sometimes, even the loveliest adventures can be a little overwhelming for our boy. 🥹💙

So this afternoon, we've swapped the crunchy leaves and chilly autumn air for a lovely warm bath, comfy clothes and Eli's very own cosy sensory den! 🛁✨

Fairy lights twinkling, favourite cuddly toys close by, soft blankets and a quiet little space where he can just be himself. 🧸💙

One thing I've learnt on our journey is that sometimes our children need a little help slowing the world down.

And that's absolutely okay. ❤️

Not every adventure needs to be big, loud or exciting. Sometimes the most important adventure is finding a little peace and comfort in your own surroundings.

So that's us for the afternoon. No expectations, no rushing, just a happy little boy enjoying his safe space while Mammy watches on with a heart full of love. 🥹💙

🍂💙 Autumn adventures & Mammy cuddles! 💙🍁

Well, somebody has woken up absolutely OBSESSED with his Mammy this morning! 🤣😍

Kisses, cuddles, snuggles and then MORE kisses! Apparently, I'm not allowed out of his sight today, and do you know what? I'm certainly not complaining! 🥹💙

One minute he's a feral little whirlwind, launching himself around like he's training for the Olympics, and the next he's the softest, sweetest little cuddle monster you could ever meet! 🤣🥰

My gorgeous boy might not use words to tell me he loves me, but he certainly has his own beautiful ways of showing it. 💙

And today we're taking all that love and heading out for a lovely autumn walk! 🍂🍁

We're going to enjoy the fresh air, explore the beautiful autumn colours and collect lots of fallen leaves to bring home and make our very own autumn collage! 🎨🍃

Nothing fancy, nothing expensive. Just a Mammy and her boy enjoying the little things, making memories and finding happiness in the simplest moments. 🥹

Because sometimes the smallest adventures make the biggest memories. 🤍

Just 1½ minutes of pure, unfiltered feralness from our little chaos coordinator — repeatedly launching himself onto his bed like he’s got absolutely NO bills to pay and NO concern for Mammy’s nerves. 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

Non-speaking doesn’t mean no personality… and this boy has enough personality for the entire street. 💙😂

Wouldn’t change his crazy little self for the world. 🤍💙

💙 NEW IN THE ELI’S ADVENTURES SHOP 💙

This one means a little bit more to me.

As a mammy to a non-speaking child, one of those horrible thoughts that sits at the back of your mind is: what if we ever got separated?

Eli couldn’t tell somebody his name, where he lives or who his mammy is.

So I wanted to create something simple that could speak for him if he ever couldn’t. 💙

The front says:

“I Communicate Differently”

And the back:

“I’m Non-Speaking

If I’m Alone

Please Help Me Find My Grown-Up”

No diagnosis. No personal details. Just a clear message that another adult can understand quickly.

It’s designed for days out, busy places, travelling, events — or simply for a little extra peace of mind. 🥹💙

Productive morning at Eli’s Adventures HQ 💙✨

We’ve been getting ALL the boring grown-up jobs ticked off today 😂🙌🏼
OT visit ✔️
Referrals sorted ✔️
Prescriptions requested ✔️
Emails sent ✔️
Mammy actually remembering what she’s supposed to be doing ✔️🤣

And of course, my little sidekick has been right there through it all 💙

Some days being a parent carer feels like having about 17 different jobs at once — appointments, forms, phone calls, chasing services, medications… and somewhere amongst it all, actually being Mammy too.

But today feels like one of those “we’re getting somewhere” days 🥰💪🏼
