Trials UK Conducted Championship – Round 4
Ian’s Rock | Menwith Hill
Round 4 of the Trials UK Sponsored Conducted Championship took us to Ian’s Rock today, where riders were greeted by scorching sunshine and some of the best natural rock sections around. The heat was relentless, but it didn’t stop everyone from putting in a fantastic effort.
The rocky venue provided plenty of technical challenges, giving the riders a great opportunity to develop their skills with accurate wheel placement, balance and throttle control. It was a proper trial that rewarded concentration from start to finish.
Red Route saw a brilliant battle for the win, with Mason Baxter and Tom Mitchell finishing tied on just 22 marks lost. Mason claimed victory on the tie-break, with Tom taking a well-deserved second after another consistent ride. Rex Hunter completed the podium in third on 36 marks.
In the 50/50 Class, Henry Coldwell produced an excellent ride, dropping just 8 marks all day to take the win.
The Yellow Route was won by Jack Fawcett on 19 marks, ahead of Wilf Trimnell in second place on 40 marks
On the White Route, Arthur Smith rode confidently to take victory on 27 marks. I’m blown away with how Arthur has progressed in the last months. From not wanting to stand, to riding like he has been around for years!
With Harrison Cockshott finishing second on 51 and Oliver Stocks 63 completing the podium.
A huge well done to every rider who tackled the sections in such demanding conditions, and a massive thank you to all the observers, organisers and volunteers who stood out in the blazing sunshine to make the event possible. Your support is what keeps these trials running.
