Come join us the 13th of every month to unwind to the sounds of spoken word and scent of
sweet aromatic flavours. We are unconventional and none cliche.. meaning we have a time for 'doors' then we start the show when the vibe is right, the mood is light.. whether it be day or night. The only fixed scheduling is that our event is always on the 13th of every month.. other than that sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. We also deliver weekly mentoring sessions for all you budding poets out there - please email us for more information and quotes on individual mentoring sessions for those of you who prefer one on one. We do not offer an open mic section - all poets are selected in advance. Currently we are a small team of two bodies running a very successful and sought after event as well as managing other businesses. We are currently not for personal profit and so the time we dedicate to DEADPOETS is totally voluntary and community focused. Although we aim to respond to each and every email asap, due to a high volume of performer enquiries this is sometimes later rather than sooner. Should you have not heard back from us within five working days please resend your email making it clear in the subject the nature of your enquiry and that you have not had an initial response. DEAD POETS exclusive T-Shirts available in ALL sizes to special order or purchase at our events every 13th of the month. Prices vary and every batch is a unique bespoke design. We do not charge an entry fee into DEADPOETS however we welcome donations in monetary form or as tins of food. ALL monies are donated to MAP - a non-profit organisation in Leeds that offers young people access to art and music courses with opportunities ranging from experience in illustration and t-shirt design through to lyric writing and music production.
