SingletrAction

SingletrAction Volunteers dedicated to Building Better Trails across Yorkshire, and beyond. Not to mention a free Dalby Forest pass. Check out our FAQ

We're a mixed bunch of riders from epic XC to full on DH, but the main thing that unites us all is the belief that putting some effort into digging and diplomacy can make the future of mountain biking even better. SingletrAction is affiliated to IMBA and work using their standards of sustainable, natural trails that cause minimum disturbance to the landscape and give maximum fun on the bike. In th

e short time we've been running we've already become the official Yorkshire mountain biking point of contact for Forest Enterprise, North York Moors National Park, Yorkshire Water, British Horse Society and English Heritage. By working with these organisations we're already seeing a radical change in thinking as mountain bikers are seen in a positive light rather than a damn nuisance. We've already restored several routes to premium grin guaranteeing standard and designed and built what will be one of the most technically demanding permanent downhill courses in the north. We're also involved in opening new routes and solving local access problems and forging strong alliances for the future in the process. We charge a small membership fee to cover the cost of tools etc, but it entitles you to excellent ''SingletrAction Only'' deals from Pace Cycles, the Clubs industry sponsor, and from local suppliers and cycle shops. Only 5 men went to mow today at Dalby. We managed to sweep all the loose stones on the final blue descent and prune a large quantity of encroaching branches. Then opened up the finish of gate 35 and the start of 36. We then went up to the top of gate 3 go ape climb and pretty much pressed the repeat button and did the same thing there. Here's a few progress pictures. Hope your ride is less disturbed by over head branches and less nettles round your ankles!
