Care providers – your voice is essential!

Zero-hours contract reform is on the table, and the changes could have a significant impact on how adult social care recruits, rotas and retains its workforce.

The Government needs to understand the realities of delivering care, including the flexibility our sector needs to respond to changing needs, emergencies and workforce pressures.

Please take the time to respond to the consultation. The more providers who have their say, the stronger our sector’s voice will be.
Add your response today:

The closing date is Tuesday 25th August 2026.

Your voice can help drive real change in social care. 🧡

The 2026 Care Worker Wellbeing Survey is now open, and we want to hear from people working across the sector. Whether you are a care worker, support worker, personal assistant, senior carer or manager, your day-to-day experience matters.

By sharing what work is really like for you, you can help us understand the pressures facing the care workforce, celebrate what is working well and identify where change is most needed.

The findings will help strengthen the evidence used to campaign for meaningful improvements for care workers, ensuring the voices of those delivering vital care and support are heard by employers, policymakers and the wider sector.

⏱️ The survey takes around 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

🎉 Everyone who completes it will be entered into a prize draw, with cash prizes available, including a top prize of £250.

Take part today: https://www.research.net/r/cwcwellbeing26

Please share this post with colleagues and networks in care. The more responses we receive, the stronger the picture we can build and the louder the call for a fairer, better-supported future for care workers.

Every response counts. 🧡

Have you heard about the Big Conversation on Care?

The Government has asked Baroness Louise Casey to lead an independent review of social care in England - looking at how it needs to change to better support older people, disabled people, and people with long-term health conditions.

As part of this, everyone in England is being asked to share their views on the future of adult social care - whether you use care services, care for someone else, work in the sector, or have never thought much about it before.

This is a genuine opportunity for people in Leeds to shape the future of care. We would encourage everyone to take part.

Digital Care in Focus: Commissioning

During the month of August, we'll be delving into the theme of Commissioning.

Through webinars, case studies and articles, we'll be exploring how to embed digital innovation, technology enabled care and cyber resilience into commissioning approaches that result in improved, person-centred care.

Expect:
➡️ Practical resources
➡️ Examples of good practice
➡️ Expert insights
➡️ Interesting and innovative approaches

With the aim to:
1️⃣ Support commissioners to navigate this changing environment.
2️⃣ Help care providers understand what these changes could mean for them.
3️⃣ Illustrate how digital approaches can support better outcomes.

Using the same password across multiple accounts is one of the simplest ways criminals gain access to systems.

If a password is exposed in one breach, criminals will often try it across other services, including business accounts, to see where it still works.

This means one compromised login can quickly lead to wider access if credentials are reused.

Creating strong, separate passwords for each account and avoiding reuse significantly reduces this risk, especially when combined with additional security controls.

Your local CRC can help SMEs understand how credential-based attacks happen and how to reduce exposure.
