Please share with your staff.
No care worker should feel afraid to do their job, travel between visits or walk through the community they serve.
Recent reports of racist abuse, intimidation and anti-migrant incidents affecting care workers are deeply troubling — and a direct threat to staff safety, confidence and wellbeing.
Technology cannot solve racism. But used carefully, tools such as digital check-ins, lone worker apps, discreet alerts and simple incident reporting can help providers strengthen their duty of care.
We are urging care providers to listen to staff, review risk assessments and lone worker arrangements, and make reporting routes clear and easy to use.
Every care worker deserves to feel safe, valued and supported.
