We’re excited to welcome choreographer Douglas Thorpe back into the studio this month.

Following his Phoenix Fridays residency in July, Douglas will continue his creative work with the company, which will feature as part of our annual Community Engagement Programme throughout November. During this time, the company will focus on outreach work in schools.

**NEW TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT** 🎉

We're heading back to the era of all eras and are thrilled to announce our upcoming 2027 production, 'Sincerely, The Breakfast Club'

Inspired by the 1985 film 'The Breakfast Club', this full-length dance theatre work uses the film's narrative as a blueprint and, through a multicultural lens, reveals how shared vulnerability can break down stereotypical labels and create moments of genuine connection. Set within the confines of a detention, the characters embody resistance, insecurity, longing, and unexpected tenderness as they realise they have more in common than they once thought.

As the detention is held in the school library, poetry and literature seep into the score from the bookshelves, offering various perspectives inspired by the film’s themes and showcased through the lenses of diverse literary voices.

Following the success of our award-nominated 2025 Spring Tour, ‘Inside Giovanni’s Room’, the creative team comes together again —

Music: Marc Strobel
Dramaturgy: Tonderai Munyevu
Set design: Jacob Hughes
Costume: Melissa Parry
Choreography: Marcus Jarrell Willis

Full tour schedule will be revealed this December.
