We are thrilled to welcome dancer and choreographer 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤 to Mobius Atelier for her solo residency, exploring her work-in-progress: ‘𝐴 𝑚𝑒𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑤𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑏𝑜𝑑𝑖𝑒𝑠’.
Danni’s practice is rooted in honouring and deep listening, — using movement to bridge her physical material body with her Mā’ohi- Norf’k, Māori (Ngāpuhi), and English Settler ancestral body.
Her residency tends to an ongoing investigation in how she can serve and share her story across lands and waters, whilst bringing with her the many voices and cultural practices she holds in her form.
