In the Rohingya camps at Cox's Bazar, it is a daily question. Families are rebuilding a life inside a shelter they did not choose, in a place where work is scarce and food arrives from outside or it does not arrive at all.

A bakery changes that arithmetic. It bakes every morning. It employs local people. It puts bread on tables that were empty the day before, and it keeps doing it long after the appeal has closed.
