This is the CUTEST, our tiny people are evening helping a HUGE amount!

Every Wednesday, we welcome around 70 under 4's to our Bonkers Book and Boogie session for an hour of wiggling, reading and, well, this week they were making socks sing opera.

This amazing group have made it their mission to raise some pennies for our Backstage Challenge! (More info below!)

And so, on the 21st July, these guys with tiny legs are going to be doing a sponsored walk in Nunroyd park!

The walk will be broken up with stories and songs and silliness, but until then, they will be collecting as many sponsors as the can to help us hit £10k!

If you missed yesterday's session or want to join the bonkers crew on the 21st, you can pick up a sponsor form from Barretts Cafe at any time, just ask the cafe team.

If you want to sponsor them, you can do so online and leave them a message via our just giving page!

The Backstage Trust have awarded Guiseley Theatre £10,000 to install new technical facilities on the stage at Guiseley Theatre, with a promise of an additional £10,000 if Guiseley Theatre can raise £10,000 ourselves!

We've made it easier to dedicate a seat!

The Backstage Trust have awarded Guiseley Theatre £10,000 to install new technical facilities on the stage at Guiseley Theatre, with a promise of and additional £10,000 if Guiseley Theatre can raise £10,000 ourselves!

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

On our balcony, we have 100 fixed seats that we are opening up for rededication for £100! If every seat is dedicated, this would see us reach our target and mean we would have a £30,000 pot to get our stage sorted!

If you would like to have a seat dedicated to you, your family, friends, business, school, pet or celebrity crush, all you need to do is head to www.guiseleytheatre.org/backstage-challenge and follow the instructions... Easy peasy!

This would be a phenomenal gift for a big occasion!

We're hoping to get the first plaques installed in early August.

What’s your favourite song from the 70s & 80s?

Fun fact: 🕺🪩

In a past life, our volunteer treasurer (the one and only Paul Cooper) was a DJ throughout the 70's and 80's!

He spun the records in clubs here there and everywhere under the stage name (and I wish I was making this up) 'Throb Disco' !

Not only has Paul come out of retirement to handle the theatres accounts, he's agreed to dust off the records to host a fundraiser disco evening for our Back Stage Challenge!

So, if you want to spend the night boogieing with Throb Disco himself, dig out your dancing shoes for the very best of 60's, 70's and 80's ready for the 3rd July!

A fantastic night, dancing to the classics, all for just a tenner.

Every penny raised through ticket sales and donations on the night is DOUBLED by the Back Stage Trust to raise money for refurbishment of our own stage facilities!

EXCITING NEWS!!! 🎉📣

Guiseley Theatre CIC has been awarded £10,000!

The Backstage Trust has awarded £10,000 to Guiseley Theatre to begin works on installing a permanent sound, lighting and rigging systems on our stage!

BUT THERES MORE!!!!

The Backstage Trust have promised AN ADDITIONAL £10,000!!!!!!

(and thats a big If!)
.. if we can raise £10,000 ourselves!

Which would give us a £30,000 pot to get a significant amount of the work done!

Earlier this week, Jacob met with Natalie Anderson to talk through our plans for Guiseley Theatre, the importance of grassroots theatre and potential collaborations in the future!

It's really great to talk with people who are so passionate about theatre and the effect it can have on your community when it's on your doorstep and a part of daily life.

Natalie was really excited by our ambitions and is keen to be a part of them!
