It feels like aaagggeeessss since I’ve written a regular market post!

I’m pleased to say Meanwood Market returns on Saturday 15th August with a pretty hot line up of indies 🔥 There are some absolute legends joining us this month 🙌🏻

⭐️ A small amount of space has become available as some of my lovely regulars are off on their well deserved jollies ⛱️

I am looking for the following:

🍕 Street food - anything but Afro-Caribbean and Indian cuisine
🐝 Honey
🥧 Meat and/or pies
📷 Photography
💍 I could fit in another jeweller - polymer clay or beaded creations

💖 We finally had time to meet up yesterday and reflect on the success of Meanfeast 💖

We’re both incredibly grateful to everyone who came and supported all of the brilliant indies, charities and community groups on Saturday. The feedback has been truly phenomenal and we’re completely blown away by all the positive comments ❤️ There’s much more to say, but we’ll do that in another post….

⭐️ This is the time to shine a light on everyone who supported us and helped make this event such a special one 🥰

We want to show our appreciation to the following:

✨ Every single one of the traders! You were just fabulous and the event was successful because of your hard work, gorgeous products and passion for what you do ❤️

✨ The Meanwood and Moortown Councillors - Cllr Mohammed Shahzad Moortown & Meanwood Ward and Cllr Laura Jane Fisher - for your encouragement, generosity and positivity about Meanfeast. Especially Mohammed Shahzad who gave us the push we needed to close Green Road

✨ Janet and Meanwood Valley Partnership for your help with funding applications and supporting us to make this happen

✨ Waitrose for supporting the event, especially Soraya Usman and Laura Shaw. Thanks also for donating some drinks and snacks to hand out to children 🧃🍎

✨ Leon Zadok for being the first aider and organising the litter picking

✨ Streetwise for managing the road closure and keeping everyone safe

✨ The Waste Team and local Green Party members for ensuring we left everything clean and tidy

✨ A full appreciation post will be happening in the next couple of days 💕

In the meantime, we wanted to give a quick shout out to everyone who helped keep Meanwood clean and tidy during Meanfeast and removing all the rubbish at the end 💖

A huge thank you to:

Councillor for organising for the litter bins on Green Road to be emptied before and after the event
and the local Green Party members for doing an amazing job litter picking throughout the day
Vanessa from for liaising with the fantastic who came and picked up all the bags of rubbish

We are both very grateful for all your help making sure Green Road was left clean afterwards 🥰

❤️One of the reasons we’re putting Meanfeast on is because we really love Meanwood ❤️ It’s an amazing community with many fantastic indie businesses at the heart of it 🙌🏻

Through organising this event we have connected with so many awesome people! They work very hard to create delicious food and drink and places you want to spend time in 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

✨ It’s been a VERY busy week dealing with some last minute challenges, finalising the interactive map and making sure everything is ready for Saturday 😊 We are almost there!!
