Food is medicine so it stands to reason that we'd have wonderful NHS GPs like Josh volunteering with us at Incredible Edible Garforth.

We are always so inspired and so moved by the origin stories of our volunteers and leaders here at Incredible Edible Leeds.
Seeking connection? Feeling hopeless or stuck in a rut? Come join our family. We're here for you.

Parenting in a digital age can feel really challenging, particularly now when it is becoming increasingly harder to opt out of technology and screens. The way to stay connected to ourselves, our family unit, our communities is to get outside. Mindful acts of planting and picking food, of collaborating with others on a community composting project or setting up a little veg library are the way forwards. Ask us how we're creating kinder, more connected communities through the power of food.

We love our volunteers.
What will your origin story be?

This we're celebrating the wonderful people who make Incredible Edible Leeds such an amazing project. People always tell us it sounds too good to be true "what? You grow food for anyone to pick? For free? All over Leeds? And you go into schools and businesses to teach them about where food comes from and how to grow it and about composting?"
Yes! We really do! And more - we have seed libraries and little veg libraries and we plant orchards and support community gardens.
Come volunteer for us and see for yourself!

We were delighted to support Bruntwood Works at Platform and its many businesses with this workshop which focussed on every day growing that anyone can do at home. We talked through herbs like basil, coriander and rosemary whilst also planting seeds containing peas, beans and strawberries. Having a practical session whilst also combining discussions on nutrition and growing local, seasonal food was a lovely way to spend a sunny lunchtime with great views of Leeds.

Thank you to The National Lottery for awarding us some funds to continue and expand our vital work.
If you're new to Incredible Edible, we are a grassroots organisation which creates kinder, more connected communities through the power of growing food. We support the food in unloved community spaces and the food in our planters, orchards and little veg libraries is free for anyone to pick and eat. Come and join us! If you eat, you're in!

We thought you might like to see some news in your feed today that's about bringing communities together, not dividing them with hatred and fear.
We are so grateful to The National Lottery and National Lottery Players for awarding us some funds to continue and expand our vital work.
If you're new to us, we not only grow healthy food in unloved community spaces that's free for people in Leeds to eat, but we are inclusive of everyone - if you eat, you're in! Food is a great connector, growing outdoors is great for our mental and physical health and when we work together to solve problems, we learn about each other and bond. So don't despair. We're here for you. Get involved.
