Last parade night, Officer in Charge, Pilot Officer Ashworth, had the pleasure of presenting Cadet Geicune with their Blue Shooting Badge.

Congratulations to Cadet Geicune on this well-deserved achievement. The Blue Shooting Badge recognises the successful completion of initial weapons handling and marksmanship training.

Cadets are taught weapon handling skills as part of a structured programme of supervised training that places a strong emphasis on safety, responsibility, and discipline, while developing confidence and focus.

Well done, Cadet Geicune —we look forward to seeing your shooting skills continue to develop.

A massive congratulations to the 10 cadets and 7 staff at today’s DCCT shoot this weekend!

The "Dismounted Close Combat Trainer" is our high-tech, computerised virtual firing range used to safely teach marksmanship and weapon handling.

Our cadets absolutely smashed their targets!

- Every cadet passed Cadet Live Fire 2 (shooting from the prone/lying down position), earning their L98A2 Blue Trained Shot badges!

- Nine cadets stepped it up to pass Cadet Live Fire 3, proving their accuracy from the tougher kneeling and sitting positions.

A huge thank you to the staff who made today's range day possible. Brilliant shooting all round! 🎯

A productive evening at 168 (City of Leeds) Squadron as our cadets kept their cool while sizing and shaping their new berets.
A huge thank you to our new Officer in Charge, Pilot Officer Ashworth, who kindly purchased the berets to ensure our newest cadets could look and feel part of the squadron while waiting for their issued uniform.
With berets now shaped and ready for wear, the squadron is looking smart and ready for the exciting opportunities ahead.
168 (City of Leeds) Squadron is on the way to big things!
