The g
roup is made up:
Beaver Scouts (Monday and Thursday)
Beavers are aged from 6 to 8 years old. A group of Beavers is called a “Colony”. Beaver meetings are lively affairs – all about “fun and friends”. For some meetings, the Beavers go out – their expeditions are usually close to base, such as games in the park. There is also the chance to go on one-night camps or sleepovers. There are parent helpers at most of our Beaver meetings – people are keen to join the rota and the Beavers love having them there. Most of our Beavers move on to one of the 9th Airedale Cub Scout packs when they are eight. This is their first step into Scouting and the beginning of a big adventure! Cub Scouts (Monday and Thursday)
Cub Scouts are aged from 8 to 10 years old. A group of Cubs is called a “Pack”. Cub Scout meetings are busy and active. Hard work goes into earning those badges. For some meetings, the Cubs are outside, especially on light evenings. There is also the chance to go on weekend camps and other trips. Find out more https://www.scouts.org.uk/cubs
Scouts (Monday and Thursday)
Scouts are aged from 10-and-a-half to fourteen years old. Scout meetings have a variety of activities and challenges. Some meetings are outdoors, even in winter. There are also weekend camps and other trips, occasionally to Scout centres abroad. All these extra activities are offered at the lowest possible cost. Find out more https://www.scouts.org.uk/scouts
When Scouts reach 14 they may move to Tenzing Explorer Scout Unit, who also meet at the Grove Premises on Wednesday evening. More information about being an explorer https://www.scouts.org.uk/explorers
