🏏 BREAKING BARRIERS & MAKING HISTORY IN BRADFORD!

On Sunday, August 2nd, the Bradford Hindu Council (BHC) hosted a truly landmark day at Bowling Old Lane Cricket Club—combining our 2nd Annual Men’s Interfaith Cricket Match with Bradford’s FIRST-EVER Ladies’ Interfaith Cricket Match!

From bright morning overs to an electric afternoon on the pitch, players and families from different faiths and diverse multi-cultural backgrounds came together to celebrate unity, friendship, and mutual respect through the universal language of sport.

Why These Matches Matter to Bradford:

Building Bridges: Uniting diverse faith communities outside traditional settings. Gender Inclusion: Creating safe, empowering athletic spaces for women and girls of all backgrounds. Promoting Peace: Breaking down stereotypes through sportsmanship and fair play. City Pride: Showcasing Bradford’s incredible spirit of interfaith harmony!

With calls already pouring in to make this double-header an annual tradition, one thing is clear: we will be back bigger and better next year!

BRADFORD CURRY PROJECT

Every 1st Saturday of each month and occasionally 5th Saturday, Indian Women's Community UK provide food bags for the homeless and underprivileged community. Help provide a hot meal and snacks such as crisps, fruit, yogurt, chocolate, cold drink and vegetarian hor meal like chana curry and rice. Our community help support these projects throughout the year. Last Saturday was supported by Surinder Pulan and family Bradford. Thank you also to our partners who always help out with hot food, and The Lyceum Bar & Grill
