Another military base visit - informative start with the historical details and very insightful presentation on LUCA by John, followed by the full break down of the reality of the technologies used and realities of war with some video footage by . We discussed the ineffectiveness of the current sanctions to Russia and how the eastern block is affected and what risks front line countries are exposed to, this war is not Ukraines alone, they are fighting for the whole Europe.

We can’t stress enough on how important it is to ensure that people understand how simple items and medical aid such as tourniquets, 4x4 vehicles, and even simple items as zip ties or tape can help Ukrainians, we always try to shed some light on the extent of this war beyond the front lines and how many lives including our local Ukrainians it has deeply affected and continues to do so, making a difference can be as small as donating £5 for a bandages, or dropping off some canned food that we can deliver to the frontlines where Ukrainians who can’t cook due to electricity outages depend on it.

As usual we shared some videos from and Chicken factory aid deliveries directly to the frontlines.

Ми не можемо достатньо підкреслити, наскільки важливо, щоб люди розуміли, як навіть прості речі та медична допомога — такі як турнікети S-типу, автомобілі 4×4 або навіть такі прості предмети, як пластикові стяжки чи клейка стрічка — можуть допомогти українцям. Хоча кожен член правління має свою конкретну роль, усі вони активно беруть участь у зборі допомоги та заходах. Найголовніше – вони невтомно працюють щодня, щоб підтримувати Україну та забезпечувати, щоб допомога LUCA доходила до тих, хто її найбільше потребує.

You might have noticed that we recently had some changes LUCA, however our mission remains the same.

Our current team:

John – Military Liaison & Awareness

While each trustee has a specific role, all of them are actively involved in collecting aid and participating in events. Most importantly, they work tirelessly every day to support Ukraine and ensure LUCAs help reaches those who need it most.

We are collecting long-lasting, non-perishable foods such as:

• Pasta & noodles
• Rice
• Coffee & tea
• Biscuits & snacks
• Tinned food (meat, fish, vegetables, beans, etc.)
• Any dry cupboard items that can last and be safely transported

These items will be delivered to Ukrainian soldiers on the frontline.

Every packet of pasta, every tin, every box of tea is a reminder that they are not alone. Your support means warmth, strength, and solidarity during incredibly difficult times.

Ми закликаємо нашу громаду знову об’єднатися, щоб підтримати тих, хто захищає Україну.

Ми збираємо продукти тривалого зберігання, які не потребують особливих умов зберігання, зокрема:

• Макарони та локшина
• Рис
• Кава та чай
• Печиво та снеки
• Консерви (м’ясні, рибні, овочеві, бобові тощо)
• Будь-які сухі продукти, які можуть довго зберігатися та безпечно транспортуватися

Ці продукти будуть передані українським військовим на передову.

Today we displayed part of our exhibition during the four years of war memorial service at .

We were deeply honoured to welcome the Mayor of Bradford, who delivered a powerful and compassionate speech, reminding us that solidarity is not just words — it is action, presence, and continued support. Your recognition of Ukraine and its people truly means so much to our community.

One of the most moving moments of the day was hearing Ukrainian children read touching stories. Their words carried pain, courage, hope, and incredible resilience.

By displaying our displays from our exhibition we shared powerful visual reminders of the realities of war and the strength of those who endure it. Through photographs, art, and personal items, we created a space not only to remember, but to educate and inspire action.

Ми були глибоко зворушені та щиро вдячні за можливість привітати Мера Бредфорда, який виголосив сильну та співчутливу промову, нагадавши, що солідарність — це не лише слова, а й дії, присутність і постійна підтримка. Ваше визнання України та її народу справді дуже багато означає для нашої громади.

Одним із найзворушливіших моментів дня стало читання українськими дітьми проникливих історій. Їхні слова несли біль, мужність, надію та неймовірну стійкість.

Представляючи експонати нашої виставки, ми поділилися потужними візуальними нагадуваннями про реалії війни та силу тих, хто її переживає. Через фотографії, мистецтво та особисті речі ми створили простір не лише для пам’яті, а й для просвіти та натхнення до дії.

Another great visit, this time in York, after the 4th war anniversary it was incredible to see so many people who are still wanting to know, and help and share their ideas, but also to be able to show the realities of war, including the parts that doesn’t get shown.

We spoke on how important it is to speak about it, discussed the war crimes that Russia continues to commit, and showed the realities of the volunteers and solders at the front lines. Some important topics came up, and we spoke about the situation in surrounding countries and how this war determines not only Ukraines future, but also affects many other European countries and why it’s important to understand that this war is not theirs alone.

It is incredibly motivating to see and hear people to choose to invest their time in understanding the situation in Ukraine.

We shared what LUCA has achieved over the last year, shred some content front the frontlines captured by the defenders and volunteers, as well some of the recent aid deliveries together with .uk , as we spoke in the rally on the anniversary of how important it is to continue speaking about the war and how important it is to continue collaborating and uniting with people who are able to help you - to help, and this visit like all others represents these words, we continuously act on it.

Ще один чудовий візит, цього разу до Йорка. Після 4-ї річниці війни було неймовірно бачити так багато молодих людей, які й досі хочуть знати більше, допомагати та ділитися своїми ідеями, а також мати можливість показати реалії війни, зокрема ті її аспекти, про які вже майже не говорять.
Ми говорили про те, наскільки важливо продовжувати розповідати правду, обговорювали воєнні злочини, які Росія продовжує вчиняти, та показували реальність життя волонтерів і військових на передовій.
Надзвичайно надихає бачити й чути майбутніх офіцерів, військових та політиків, які обирають інвестувати свій час у розуміння ситуації в Україні та ставлять серйозні запитання, що свідчать про те, що вони вже зробили свій вибір — і це правильний вибір.🇺🇦

Four years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. Four years of pain, resilience, courage and unbreakable spirit.

Today, we gathered together to mark this tragic anniversary — to remember the lives lost, the families torn apart, the cities destroyed, and the millions displaced. But we also gathered to honour strength. The strength of those defending Ukraine. The strength of those rebuilding. The strength of a nation that refuses to be erased.

Seeing so many people stand side by side in solidarity was incredibly moving. Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine, different generations, different backgrounds — united by one message: we remember, we care, and we will not stay silent.

We are deeply thankful to every single person who came, who held a flag, who shared a post, who brought their children, who lit a candle. Your presence matters more than words can express.

A special thank you to everyone who contributed to organising this rally — the volunteers, speakers, performers, community leaders and partner organisations who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Events like this are built on dedication, compassion and countless unseen hours of effort.

Four years on, our commitment remains unchanged. We will continue to support Ukraine, to raise awareness, and to stand firmly on the side of justice and freedom.
