We may have been quiet but we have not slowed down our campaign to buy the building

We've had various fundraisers that were well attended and added to our fund which we are so grateful for!

We reached out for help to set up a cic that will be done imminently as a charity will take too long and one organisation answered (thank you to you!)

Cash donations are continuing and a very entrepreneurial young lady by the name of Phoenix brought in 21 pounds that she made selling sandwiches!

Our youth group kids made £230 holding a jumble sale and are keen to do another

The support for community ownership continues to grow and again thank you all!

We have another fundraiser June 2nd magic and meal for £5 is an absolute bargain !

There's a saying that goes - look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves. Your spare change just added £73.73 to the building fund!!

And don't forget on Tuesday there is another chance to show you want the centre to stay by joining Christians in Cottingley and us for tea time activities- planting , crafts and food all in £2
Children can come their own but must bring their £2 and the parents number

Update -

The charitable bank account is now open where all donations will be paid into make sure the building fund stays separate and easier to manage.

The name for the new group is Cottingley Collective

Friends of, will remain a group as it should, in its own rights

We have had cash and transferred donations not just the Go Fund Me

We've heard and know all the concerns of people who use the centre as a lifeline and we aren't giving up yet!

The support from our MP, councillors and groups who use the centre aswell as other community groups in the area has been amazing.

The Community Asset is still in and we don't plan on withdrawing it.

You might wonder why we're bothering and just know it's because we know this estate is worth more than what it gets, the people here are good people, are valuable and capable and as a community we know what's best for us.
