This is one of the reasons I do what I do. As well as raising money for charity, I’m trying to raise awareness of ADHD. In real terms, it’s actually under diagnosed. It’s a severe impairment that can cause serious problems if left undiagnosed and untreated. I was diagnosed as a young child, after multiple visits, observations, school input and parental appointments, by a multi - disciplinary team. The GP had no involvement, and I only visit the GP for my blood pressure so I can continue to be prescribed my vital medication.
I’m always happy to discuss ADHD, and I hope by people seeing my posts that with the right support, and the right environment, children with ADHD can thrive.
