🙋‍♀️ We're looking to recruit some new volunteers!

📅 We are running an induction session for people interested in volunteering with us on Wednesday 11th February 6pm - 7.30pm.

☕️🍪There will be hot drinks and snacks provided!

🔧 🚲 The Pedallers’ Arms is a community workshop where people can come and access the tools and support needed to repair their bike. We’ve existed for 15 years, running three sessions a week in our workshop in Mabgate Green.

❤️ We are looking for new volunteers to join the team (of volunteers - Pedallers' Arms is entirely volunteer-run!) and support more people to fix their bikes! You don’t need to be an expert in bike maintenance. We all learn together and try to create a culture of skill-sharing and support, asking others for help when it gets beyond your experience 👍.

If you’re new to bike stuff, you are not likely to become an expert mechanic in a few weeks, but you’ll gradually learn, and help loads of people along the way.

❄️ CLOSED TOMORROW ❄️
Apologies to cancel a session so soon after the winter break, but due to the weather warnings for snow we are cancelling the seesion on Thursday 8th Jan.

We don't want our visitors or our volunteer mechanics to travel in slippy and freezing conditions!

Take care everyone and see you another time. Remember you can always call the workshop phone during our usual opening hours on 01132457274 to double check that we're there.

Winter break

We will be closed for a few weeks over the festive period. Our last session of 2025 will be Thursday 18th December and we will open again on Monday 5th January 2026.

From Monday 13th October our opening hours are changing. We will be open as follows:

*Mondays 5 - 8pm*
One of our volunteer mechanics is going away for a few months and we simply can't cover the 4-5pm slot. So we're open from 5 for drop ins (as space allows). There are still two appointments available to book at 6pm.

*Thursdays 4 - 8pm*
As usual. Appointments available at 4pm and 6pm. Drop ins welcome as space allows.

*Sundays - times vary*
Our Sundays remain appointment only and appointment times available may vary week to week.

We will soon be launching a volunteer recruitment drive! We are particularly keen to recruit people who want to make a regular commitment and be involved in decision making etc. Watch this space for further details.
