A huge congratulations and well done to both teams that attended the Elles competition this weekend. Both teams did extremely well and we have had a lot of positive feedback from the judges and organisers.

Team Phasmids did really well and managed to get first place in the cooking competition which included cooking a 3 course dinner on the open fire.

Team Spekial Shreks had an incredible weekend and placed 1st out of 5 teams, the teamwork, resilience, and determination you showed over the leader was outstanding. They also brought home another 2 trophies.

We are so proud of all the hard work both teams have put in not just over the weekend but also during the week leading up to the event with the learning and planning they have done. Your leaders are so proud of all of you and you should be proud of yourselves too!

Also congratulations to the other scout groups that participated this weekend, it’s a hard competition and you all done so well. Bravo 6th Gosport Rowner Air Scout Group KAVS and 7th Gosport

Lastly thank you to the organisers and judges that gave up there weekend to make the camp possible

What an incredible evening for our Cubs! 🚒🔥

The Cubs had a fantastic opportunity to visit Southsea Fire Station, where the team set up practical and engaging activities that had everyone completely captivated! From making 999 calls over the radio, to learning lifesaving skills and even putting out fires, the Cubs threw themselves into every challenge with huge enthusiasm.

They also got to explore the equipment used during emergencies and see firsthand what life as a firefighter involves. Meanwhile, Akela 2nd took her own adventure to new heights — heading right to the very top of the cherry picker… an amazing 13 stories high! 😲🚒

A huge thank you to the firefighters for providing such an invaluable experience for our young people. Your time, enthusiasm, and dedication are hugely appreciated, and the Cubs will be talking about this visit for a long time to come! 👏🔥

Today’s Squirrel adventure took us to Alver Valley 🌿🐿️

We discovered giant daisies, watched geese gliding across the pond, crossed hidden little bridges over swampy mud… and stumbled upon mysterious holes that definitely needed investigating 👀🕳️

Nature, muddy paths, and a little bit of mystery — the perfect adventure day! 🍃

A huge thank you to Matt, Jon and Pete three of our amazing volunteers, for giving up their weekend to build the new cupboards in the hall. The new wall and storage are exactly what was needed, and although there’s a little finishing work left to do, the progress already looks fantastic. Thank you all so much for this project — and for every other one you take on for us. We appreciate you more than you know.

What an incredible weekend celebrating 110 years of Cub Scouts! 🎉⚜️
1st Lee-on-the-Solent Scout Group took 18 young people, 2 Young Leaders, and 8 adult volunteers to Foxlease Park for a fantastic weekend filled with music, adventurous activities, and new friendships.
Throughout the weekend, our young people truly embodied the values of Scouting, showing outstanding respect, teamwork, and enthusiasm in everything they did. We are incredibly proud of how they supported one another and embraced every challenge and opportunity.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers, leaders, and organisers who helped make the weekend such a memorable experience. Here’s to the next 100 years of Cub Scouts adventure! 💛💚
