Come for a chat and a cuppa, it’s like an afternoon tea party with delicious things to eat and ideas about food and then we put the world 🌍 to rights too 😁.

No need to bring anything but all donations welcome, it doesn’t have to be homemade.

Walking, Talking and Fresh Air Group

Wonderful walk today around Rodborough Common, the views were amazing and although it was cloudy and a bit windy it was quite warm 😁. Lunch at The Bear was really good, they even had nice gluten free bread, and the chips were delicious 😄. It was quite a long way to go but definitely worth it and with lunch it made a great day out.

Next walk Tuesday 18th September, Asthall to Swinbrook. Meet at the Memorial Hall 9.30 for car share, £3 cash towards petrol,

Walking, Talking and Fresh Air Group

Update on Tuesday ‘s walk. We will be walking around Rodborough Common - just over 2 miles with fantastic views across Woodchester, Stonehouse and Stroud. We can wander slowly and take it all in. The track is quite stony so good footware required. The Bear is lovely for lunch and it’s 2 minutes to Winstone’s Ice Cream. 🍦

Walking, Talking and Fresh Air Group

Tuesday 18th August, trip to Minchinghampton and lunch at The Bear of Rodborough.
Meet at the Memorial Hall 9.30am for car share, £3 cash towards petrol.

We are going for lunch as this trip is quite a distance to get to, at the moment we are not totally sure which route we will be walking 😁 Cathy and I went to recce it today but what with the heat ☀️ ( and going in the wrong direction for a while but we are not really admitting to that!!! ) we didn’t do the whole route but be rest assured we will have something sorted for Tuesday and it won’t be a long walk possibly only a couple of miles. The Bear has a lunch menu and a sandwich menu which can include chips 😆 and seems a reasonable price. Hope to see you then.

Summer Garden Party

What a lovely evening, we were lucky with the weather and the forecast rain didn’t materialise until later 😁. Food was delicious and the conversation didn’t stop. Thanks to the committee for organising.

Foodie Group.

Whoever said salad is boring 😁wow what a selection we had today and I didn’t even need to feel guilty to eat it!
Homegrown Beetroot and Feta, home grown peppers with stacciatella ( creamy Italian cheese) capers and basil, Green lentils, chickpeas and tomatoes, Pears, homegrown lettuce with homemade pesto and cranberries. Blueberries and feta with basil and olive oil and Gluten free Panzanella, Italian tomato and bread salad, and some delicious home made elderflower cordial.

Next meeting on Thursday 3rd September, all things tomato 🍅.

Why not come and join us for a chat and try something new. No need to bring anything but all extremely welcome. PM for venue.

Walking,Talking and Fresh Air Group

Beautiful 3 mile circular walk this morning from Great Rissington. We saw lots of butterflies and moths, a hare lolloping through a field, stunning scenery, the weather was perfect, with lovely ladies to chat to and then iced coffee ☕️ at Burford Garden Company, what a wonderful way to spend a morning.

Next walk Tuesday 18th August Minchinghampton Common to Amberly. As this is slightly further away there is a suggestion we stay for lunch before returning home. Details at the next meeting and watch this space for details of the walk beforehand.
