Sadly, the passenger in the BMW died at the scene. The driver of the BMW and the driver of the Land Rover sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital. The driver of the BMW has been arrested on suspicion of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving. The BBC has reported the incident here.

Multiway lights at Preston Cross for a week to do gas works just west of the roundabout.

Apparently the A246 is clear in the centre of Bookham but there are multiway lights at the bottom of the High Street.

EFFRA has written to our MP, Zoe Franklin regarding her letter of 17th April to residents about the recent decision by Berkeley Homes re the The Howard of Effingham School. As the EFFRA Committee shares the concerns expressed by a number of residents that the letter is unbalanced and believes it does not reflect the views of the majority of her constituents in Effingham, EFFRA has written to our MP to explain those concerns.
