A new building in Recife

The new Instituto Solidare building is already under construction — a space designed to transform lives and expand opportunities 💛

More than just a physical structure, this project will directly impact around 900 children and young people, providing access to education, professional training, and support for mothers who want to build a better future for themselves and their children.

Yesterday, John Doddrell, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Happy Child International, was in Recife visiting the families supported by the Mentoring and Skills Training Project.

He spoke with young people who have already taken part in the project, as well as those who will begin this journey in 2026. It was a day marked by listening, closeness and encouragement — reinforcing that every story matters and every future can be transformed when there is support.

We have prepared a video with the highlights of this very special visit.

In 2025, the Mentoring and Skills Training Project expanded horizons and created real pathways to the future. Through ongoing mentoring, vocational training and the development of socio-emotional skills, young people gained access not only to the labour market — but also to the confidence to build their own life projects.

The work of Happy Child International is not only about professional training. It is about restoring dignity, strengthening dreams and rekindling hope for the future.

The demand for opportunity continues to grow. And every new opportunity begins with people who choose to act.
