Fetcham Scout Group

Fetcham Scout Group Scouting is open to all young people aged 4 to 25 of every faith and background.

Scouting works well when young people are in partnership with adults and there's plenty of opportunities for adults to become involved as Scouting too!

We need you! 1st Fetcham Group is entirely reliant on volunteers to run the weekly program, activities, camps, admin, fundraising, maintenance, accounts, etc. Without the commitment of this dedicated team there would be no Scouting in Fetcham. Thank you to everyone who helps support all our members at any time throughout the year and if you’d like to help on a regular basis but you’re not sure that what that involves, please do have an informal chat with us to find out more!

We are looking forward to the Fetcham Fair (inc dog show) taking place on Saturday 4 July at the C**k Lane Rec. In order to keep the popular tombola stalls running as long as possible on the day we politely ask if anyone would like to make any donations for which we’d be extremely grateful. Perhaps you have unwanted new or unused items such as bottles, toys, games, luxury items, etc? Or maybe your business would prefer to donate a raffle prize.

Please drop me a message at [email protected] and I’ll get back to you.

Thank you!

Our thanks to our sponsors: Cunningham Eves Solicitors and Patrick Gardner Residential

Can't commit to weekly sessions, but would like to be involved with Scouting? We would love to welcome some more Trustees to 1st Fetcham Scout Group.

More volunteers enables us to keep providing the best scouting experience for the children, and to be able to offer them challenges and adventures.

There’s lots going on behind the scenes. We look after subscriptions, fundraising, building maintenance, finances, new HQ project etc.

* No previous scouting experience necessary
* A couple of online modules to complete
* Non-uniformed
* Meetings bi-monthly

If you, or you know someone else, can help in any way please contact us. We are very much looking forward to hearing from you.

We need more regular helpers on Monday Beavers. Children are aged 6-8.

Last week they did a Pokémon scavenger hunt, iced cookies, learned to light a candle and played games.

They ended the session awarding three Chief Scout’s Bronze Awards.

Thanks to our volunteers for everything they do.

Squirrels were ‘Super Chefs’ last week. They did really well giving peeling and chopping a go! Their soup was carrot, potato, parsnip, broccoli and pea which they all tasted dipping bread into. They also had a banana, strawberry and blueberry milkshake. Ending with a slice or two of watermelon!

Thank you to St Mary's Church Fetcham Community Fridge for our fruit and veg which stopped it from going to landfill; and to the parents who donated too.
