Scouts had a visit yesterday from the Chair of Surrey County Council, and Councillor for Leatherhead And Fetcham East, Tim Hall MBE.

They learnt about what his team are responsible for, and the Scouts discussed what they would like to see offered/improved in the Fetcham area.

They also invested four new Scouts, and played a couple of games!

Scouts enjoyed a night hike. They all did amazing covering around 8-9 miles getting to the barn at about 1.15am, had some cake, then tucked down for the night.

In the morning they enjoyed egg and bacon butties before heading home.

Cubs enjoyed their weekend camp. So much is learned at camp that teaches the young people and they won’t even realise! They are responsible for their kit, listening to instructions, away from parents and growing in confidence. They learn to keep calm, look after themselves and support each other. The Leaders are amazing and the young people will have great memories with them forever. We are actively seeking volunteers to join our Cub, Beaver Leadership Teams and Trustees. Follow our page to find out what we get up to and see what you could bring to the 1st Fetcham Group!

Scouts returned after the Summer break earlier in September, and welcomed 7 new Scouts. They played loads of games in their patrols to get to know each other and have some fun.

They also presented some hard earned badges, and presented Simon with his 10 years’ leader’s badge.
