Are you keeping used stamps but don’t know what to do with them? 1st Fetcham Scout Group are happy to taken them to pass on to the RNLI charity.

All kinds of stamps are welcome, on or off paper. You just need to leave no more than a 5mm single thickness border around them, and the perforations should not be damaged.

The collection box is there all year so just drop them off whenever it suits you or contact us and we’ll help where we can or contact us and we’ll help where we can!!

Scouts went on a cycle ride through Bookham Common, through Downside and up to the Chatley Heath semaphore tower. A quick rest and then headed back! Good challenge for many! Well done Scouts!

Both Centenary & Downs Cub Packs enjoyed the last awesome session of term with a few water games. The highlight being a slip‘n’slide!

They said goodbye to those moving up to Scouts or onto new adventures, having seen them have an amazing time going through Cubs! All the very best to them.

To end the last session wished goodbye to Simon and Emma who had both run Down's pack for 10 and 8 years respectively. the Group is extremely grateful to them as they have done loads behind the scenes for Cubs and have been so appreciation. Thank you!

Beavers rounded off the term with some crafting, jewellery making, designing ice lollies, snacks. Four Beaver Scouts swam up to Cubs and we awarded a lot of badges! Thanks to all our volunteers for your help.

Squirrels enjoyed their last session of the term and ended with badges and invested two Squirrels 🐿️🐿️

We enjoyed another successful Fetcham Fair yesterday. Thank you for supporting our decision to cancel the dog show, and despite the heat the Fetcham Community came out to support us. We hope you enjoyed the event, and if you think you’d like to get involved with Scouting we have space for volunteers within Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs; or perhaps becoming a Trustee would suit you better and helping out behind the scenes. **No Dog Show** today at the Fetcham Fair due to the predicted high temps - but we’ve got all our ducks lined up and look forward to seeing the community at C**k Lane Rec from 12 to 4pm to enjoy a traditional village summer fair. We have refreshments, food, side stalls, raffle, local charities and businesses.

It is the right thing for our fury friends to carry on with the fair this year without the dog show. We will still have shaded areas and water bowls for any visiting dogs but request that owner’s take responsibility for the welfare of their animal.
