Open with loads of lovely fresh food. Open until 2pm today.
🍱 pop up!
Sweet potato and parsnip soup?
Broccoli for a side?
Some leeks turnips and tatties to make soup too?
How about a pasta bolognaise, or maybe a bowl of porridge?
Stock cubes, tea bags or sugar?
We have pastries, bread, pasta, pasta sauces, tins, jars, yogurts, some small cheese blocks, baby food and much more. Bacon for a bacon sarnie? We have toiletries, Avon samples, some kiddies books, sanitary products, toothpaste.
We also have a big thank you for coop Laurencekirk for our wonderful donations this morning.

Yesterday in Tesco, I was given a free voucher after my shopping for a pack of pampers nappies. Look at your vouchers in store shopping and not miss this. If anyone else is at Tescos and get this voucher, could you be a sweetie and grab the free nappies for our larder? This would be a huge help please 🙏.

💚 A Little Help Goes a Long Way 💚

To our wonderful community,

We want to be honest with you about something that's been weighing heavily on us. Recently, donations to Oor Howe Community Larder have dropped significantly, and we're becoming increasingly concerned about our ability to continue providing support to those who rely on us.

Every week, we help individuals and families who are struggling with the rising cost of living. We couldn't do this without the generosity of our community, local businesses, and supermarkets that have supported us over the past 6 months.

Right now, we urgently need your help.

If you're a local supermarket, shop, café, bakery, or food supplier with surplus food or items you could donate, we'd love to hear from you. If you're a member of the community and can spare a few cupboard essentials, toiletries, or a small donation, every single contribution makes a real difference.

Without increased support from local vendors, supermarkets, and our community, we are genuinely worried that we may not be able to continue operating in the future. That would leave many local people without an important source of support.

Please share this post to help us reach as many people and businesses as possible. Together, we can make sure Oor Howe Community Larder remains here for those who need it most.
