What a magical start to the Launceston Poetry Festival 2026 ✨
Day one brought moving readings from schools and the community, inspiring conversations, and an open mic with Ella Frears

Another full day today!

We hope you’ll join for readings from leading contemporary poets, as well as local voices, workshops, walks, talks and free events across the town.

Tickets are still available for some events and will be available on the door.

Come join us in Launceston for a weekend of poetry and community 📚✨

Poets including Rowan Williams, , , Sarah Howe, Rachel Long, , Philip Gross, , , , , and lots more.

There will be loads going on around Launceston town too. .l.drake is running a letterpress workshop, and Guillemot’s .a.thompson will be talking to Poetry Editor about poetry publishing. There are walks and talks, tours of Charles Causley’s house - a full weekend of poetry-related community.

Lots of FREE events too!
