We were delighted yesterday to receive a grant award from Launceston Town Council, to help both Explorers and our Beaver/Cub/Scout groups buy new equipment for our adventures. A huge thank you to the council for their generosity, and to Scout member Flo for officially representing us!

Explorers enjoyed a fab holiday treat tonight. They all got to the top of the boulder, some in true style! And we discovered that if you've got no hair bobble, no worries - neckers make the perfect alternative 😂😂

A former Scout is about to make history. 🚀

Christina Koch, a former Scout from the USA, is part of the crew for Artemis II, NASA’s first crewed Moon mission in more than 50 years—and with the launch set for tomorrow, this moment is officially real.

From campfires to the cosmos, her journey is a powerful reminder of where curiosity, resilience, and a spirit of adventure can lead. 🌍✨

Did you know? Around 60% of NASA astronauts have been involved in Scouting at some point in their lives—proof of the lasting impact of those early experiences.

Wishing Christina and the entire Artemis II crew clear skies and safe travels as they take this giant leap forward.

Woodlands and forests deliver benefits to wildlife, providing additional habitat and food sources, as well as helping to sequester carbon, offsetting our carbon emissions.

They provide us with multiple environmental benefits on the sites we manage. Societal benefits range from increased engagement with the natural world through volunteering and engagement activities.
