Do you like to be involved in community events? Do you have a flair for organising as well as rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in?
Why not come along to our AGM for Tresmeer Village Hall. You don't have to live in Tresmeer to be involved, you just need to be enthusiastic, can spare some time and enjoy being part of a team.
We are looking for more people to join the committee or become 'a friend of the village hall ' to enable us to put on more events, increase our hall hires and to help raise money for the village hall and Launceston Foodbank
If this interests you why don't you come along to the AGM and find out more ~ TVH Committee

Don't forget that we have Bingo on tonight at Tresmeer Village Hall
We are collecting donations for the foodbank so if you can afford it all donations of tinned or dried food, toiletries or household products will be most welcome.
Your ticket money raises funds to run the hall and gift to Launceston Foodbank.

Can I have your attention please.
At yesterday's Tresmeer Parish Council meeting, 12th October, it was brought to the attention of TVH Committee Chair, that a planning application is under review but because it is in the Laneast parish as residents of Tresmeer we did not need to be notified. But this will affect Tresmeer and surrounding hamlets.
The Wind Turbine at Lidcott (Devon and Cornwall Logs) is not just wanting to be changed like for like but much bigger.
The planning application states;
"Repower an existing single wind turbine by a replacement turbine up to a maximum 84m tower, and maximum 115m tip height and replacement of existing substation and transformer housing"
If you want to comment on this before the final decision is made you need to act fast. The decision meeting is 26th October
https://planning.cornwall.gov.uk/online-applications
The application number is PA25/08501
The picture below is for illustrative purposes only but as you can see the overall height is more than double that of Nelson's Column which includes the granite plinth it stands on.

What a fantastic evening we had with the amazing Salt and Sky 🎶

A huge thank you to the band, their wonderful dancers and their fantastic sound engineer for creating such a joyful and entertaining evening.

And, of course, a big thank you to everyone who came along and helped create such a brilliant atmosphere in the hall. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, dancing, laughing and having a great time together.

This is exactly what Tresmeer Village Hall was built for — bringing people together, enjoying great entertainment and creating wonderful memories.

What a fabulous evening, thank you ~ TVH Committee
