Jayden is nearly 10, he was born with a missing hand and forearm, the doctors were pretty certain it was Amniotic Band Syndrome. He has been given the amazing chance to receive a Hero Arm through Open Bionics! We are looking to raise £13,000 so he can get the arm he wants and deserves!

Jayden tried out his brand new hero flex rider attachment this afternoon, and he got on with it so well (after I attached it to his bike correctly 🤪)
Although we do think he needs a lighter bike, maybe a BMX..
This would allow him to really test the waters with what he has always wanted to do on his bike, and scooter and do some simple tricks on them..
He's never been able to do this, but with the flex, it may be that bit more possible! Open Bionics

I'm sure most of you have seen this video of beautiful Tilly trying out her new hero arm hands! 😍
I've questioned about getting Jayden one of these, but he can't until he stops growing basically, and by that point we would be able to apply through the NHS too which is amazing!!
In other news, currently waiting on 3 attachments arriving for his hero flex!! So once he is home and they have arrived I'll be sure to take some pictures/videos to show you all what we've ordered for him :)

This boy is just amazing.
He tried the gym after school today, rather than going to the club as his nerves got to the better of him I think! But he was able to try out a bench press, and the rowing machine and smashed it! 🥰🩵

It's not all rainbows and sunshines though, his attachment is quite heavy, which he obviously has to get used too, and when switching from one piece of equipment to the other, he took his arm off and because it was hot struggled to get it back on.. I'm here to share the good and the bad! These are things which would stop Jayden from trying again in all honesty.. but with his mates by his side I'm hoping he carries this on! 🤞🏼

New attachments have been released now.. sooner than we thought, this means we can order some lighter attachments for him which will be so much better for now! .... This, this is why we fundraise. He's always going to need new things, as long as he wants to carry on this journey! And as long as he does want too, we will do whatever we can to support him 🩵

While there today, Damien let Jayden try out a new attachment which is in the making to be for sale in a couple of months, this allows you to do push ups with ease!
Along with a lighter version of the 'clamp' we picked up today.
This will do Jayden good, for the now, whereas the one we picked up today will last him forever as it's capable of lifting more weight, I was aware of this as it was recommended by Helder on an earlier appointment. The attachment we bought today is used by John, which as you can see has helped him massive amounts in his weight lifting/exercise journey!
But since that appointment new attachments are being made all of the time, which is why we are continuing fundraising, saving money for him to buy what he needs, when he needs it. 💪🏼 🩵

We have picked up Jaydens hero flex arm! This will allow him to build up the much needed muscles in his arm, in turn making things a lot easier for him including the use of his hero arm! Thankyou to Damien for seeing us today, and for the tour around Open Bionics !
We spoke about some other attachments which are in the making as we speak, we can't wait to purchase these in the future. All with the help of continued fundraising and saved funds from previous events, thankyou to everyone as normal for the support in journey!
