The National Lottery Heritage Fund Northern Ireland funded a 3 year role for our Marketing & Communications Manager.
The role was to communicate who & what Jubilee Farm is, a final piece of work is a revamped website.

The final few weeks of Portia's role approaches & when asked what was the most enjoyable thing, she said, "that community can flourish when we all contribute".

As Portia departs her role in the coming weeks, we can confirm she has developed new skills, made further commitment to enhance her own career & employment opportunities.
An unexpected bonus is that Portia has confirmed everyone should take opportunity to connect with their wider community, farming, biodiversity or a hand in producing food. Even better, do all of these in one place!
Never mind the Marketing, when Portia started she had never lifted a hen, now she can carry one and catch another at the same time.
She confirms community supported agriculture is required for community food fairness, health & satisfaction.
Farming is hard work but seems to be an essential life skill we all must embrace or support.
A sheep called Marilyn knows her voice from the farm gate.
She witnessed the birth of piglets & equal distress at the natural death of farm animals.
Not a name can be remembered, but she knows more now about rare snails, bees, plants, moths and birds than her entire lifetime before 2022.
