Enjoy this adaptation of the true story of the shipwreck of the SS Politician in 1941 when the cargo of 28,000 cases of malt whisky found a new home amongst the islanders of Eriskay! 🥃 Our 2026 musical play Whisky Galore will see us trial a new form of live interactive theatre. Inspired by the Fringe performances of drunken Shakespeare, we thought this was the perfect show to swap out our prop whisky for the real thing.

We appreciate our actors consumption of real alcohol throughout this performance will cause some likely disruption to the expected events, however we believe it will be more historically accurate and add to the humour of the evening, subject to obtaining the necessary licenses of course.

😀 Alas, this is just our way of saying HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY (and sorry to all the potential actors who got excited about the prospect!) Speaking of cast; auditions will take place in May so watch this space for info and announcements!

Congratulations to our fabulous One Acts cast and crew who represented us so proudly at the SCDA Western Divisional Final. With the sucker- punch of a Scottish show that “Ida Tamson” is, we were delighted to bring home the silverware for “Scottish Life and Character”.

Congratulations to 88 Theatre and SDG who progress to the Scottish Finals, and whilst our competitive journey comes to an end with this smashing wee play, we hope to have some more local performances - stay tuned!

💇‍♀️ We’re delighted to announce our 2026 family pantomime adventure RAPUNZEL 🌼
🎭After the success of The Wee Mermaid panto, we are back at Barrfields Theatre this year, with a Scottish twist on another classic fairytale written and directed by Laura Edison.
😆 Expect villains to boo, goodies to cheer, panto slapstick nonsense, big laughs, bold characters, lively music, festive sparkle, and all the magical moments that little kids and big grown up kids love!
