As we come to the end of volunteer appreciation week I want to say thank you to the leaders for their time and dedication to our company.

I am sharing a letter with you from the Girls' Brigade Scotland executive about the future of the Girls Brigade in Scotland.

I have had the privilege of being part of 4 different GB companies across the country both in Scotland and England and Wales and whilst the structures may be slightly different the fellowship and friendship and the desire to 'Seek, Serve and Follow Christ's is the same.

We look forward to welcoming our girls back as usual in August. I will keep you updated as we explore moving to be part of Girls Brigade Great Britain.

A poem about Love on the fourth Sunday of Advent

The longest night, the darkest hour,
A stillness waits for love's new power.
The final candle, lit to shine,
A love that's patient, and divine.

Love came down to meet our need,
A quiet birth, a selfless deed.
It was born in manger low,
A gift from God, for all to know.

A tender love, a guiding light,
That fills the soul with pure delight.
It wraps us warm, it makes us whole,
And speaks to the deepest heart and soul.

This is love, as God has shown,
The greatest love we've ever known.
A love that conquers fear and pain,
And calls us home to love again.
