We’re excited to share the very first video on our brand new channel – and it’s an important one.

This episode takes you behind the scenes at a DocBike Ride Ready event, where we got hands-on with essential motorcycle first aid training. From biker CPR and helmet removal to stopping severe bleeding and more, this drop-in session is packed with potentially life-saving knowledge every rider should have.

🏍 Understanding the Limit Point 🧐

When riding bends, advanced riders use the limit point — the furthest point on the road where the edges appear to meet.
It helps you judge how tight the corner is and adjust your speed and position safely.

The golden rule we follow:
➡ 'You must be able stop in the distance you can see to be clear throughout the bend on your own side of the road'

This key principle is taught and developed during the IAM RoadSmart course with Somerset Advanced Motorcyclists.

❌ Myth: Advanced riding means riding faster

Not true.

Advanced riding is about:

✔ Planning further ahead
✔ Making smoother decisions
✔ Using better road positioning
✔ Improving observation and anticipation

Often advanced riders are actually more relaxed and controlled, not faster.

The goal is safe, smooth, systematic riding.
