We finished off the Summer term by attending Lonsdale District Scouts District Camp!

This was the biggest camp we have run in years with over 60 kids from 53rd Lancaster in attendance. Our youngest Squirrels to our oldest Scouts came and had an absolute blast taking part in adventurous activities such as high ropes, canoeing, and firelighting.

These opportunities wouldn't be possible for our young people without the dedication and help of our adult volunteers who worked so hard planning in advance and managing young people whilst on camp.

We are always looking for new young people and adult volunteers to join the adventure with us! If you are interested please get in contact. We have spaces for children 4-14.

Volunteers make Scouting!
We are looking to recruit a new generation of Team Members for our local Scout group.

Scouting gives young people opportunities they might not get anywhere else; confidence, life skills, friendships, adventure, and a place where they can be themselves. But none of that happens without people behind the scenes making sure the group is supported properly.

You don’t need to have been a Scout. You don’t need to know how to tie knots or start a campfire. What we do need are people who care about their community and want to help make sure local young people continue to have these opportunities.

It’s a flexible time commitment. Whether you want to be there week in week out and at every event, just attending once a month, or if you would rather work behind the scenes with admin or as a trustee you will be making a big difference.
