Visitors to HMP Lancaster farms, children under the age of 16 are not required to provide identification. POPS Staff will ask for the child's name and date of birth and will authorise entry if these details match those recorded on the Visits List.

Young people aged 16 and 17, however, will still be required to provide the same identification as adult visitors.

It is hoped that this change will help reduce some of the frustration and distress experienced by families.

Visitor Notice – Dress Code Reminder
POPS and HMP Lancaster Farms would like to make visitors aware that, despite the World Cup taking place, football shirts are not permitted to be worn during prison visits.
Exception:

Children under the age of 13 are permitted to wear football shirts.

We kindly ask all visitors to adhere to this guidance to avoid any disruption to visits.

Whilst we can accept £20 notes this means we often run out of change. Thanks in advance for your continued support folks :)

POPS would like to advise visitors that on Tuesday 4th November the visits hall Tea bar will be closed for both visit sessions. Goody bag purchases can still be made but the transaction will be handled from the visit centre. If you would like to purchase a goody bag on Tuesday please ask a member of the POPS team. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

POPS would like to advise any visitors looking to book visits via the online booking system, to do so before 12 noon on Fridays, for the Tuesday/Wednesday afternoon visits of the following week.

The system has a strict 48 hour notice and any booking requests coming in after 12 noon on Fridays will not be processed till Monday morning at which point the Tuesday and Wednesday visits will not be available.
