Developed in response to centre demand for paper-based assessments, we’ve expanded our English and Maths Functional Skills assessment offering to include paper-based versions of our existing Level 1 and Level 2 online assessments.

Introducing the next confirmed speaker at the Ascentis National Conference in November!

Judy Kirsh has over 35 years’ experience in English Language Teaching as a teacher, teacher educator, examiner, consultant and materials writer. She has contributed to a wide range of national and international ESOL and Literacy projects, including leading the development of ESOL CPD modules for the British Council’s ESOL Nexus project.

Judy’s professional interests centre on ESOL teacher development, especially work with emergent readers and writers. Her session at the National Conference will cover how we can adapt teaching to meet ESOL learners diverse needs - without creating 20 different lessons. Exploring what adaptive teaching can look like in ESOL, with examples and strategies for adapting tasks, resources and support.
