Thank You and Farewell, Deya

Today we say goodbye to Deya Roberts, our CBT Therapist, who will be leaving us to begin an exciting new chapter in the North East.

Deya has made a valued contribution to our team and has supported many people during her time with us. Her compassion, professionalism and dedication have been greatly appreciated by colleagues, volunteers and young people alike.

We would like to thank Deya for everything she has done and wish her every happiness and success in her new home and role. She will be very much missed, but we know she has a bright future ahead.

What an amazing day we had at Lancaster Pride last weekend! 🌈✨

We were proud to be part of such a vibrant celebration and to stand alongside and support our local LGBTQ+ community. Pride is a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion, acceptance and ensuring everyone feels seen, valued and supported.

It was wonderful to meet so many people at our stand, have some great conversations and share more about the work we do to support mental health and wellbeing for young people across our community.

We were also delighted that our CEO, Julian, had the opportunity to speak with Beyond Radio about our work and why creating supportive, inclusive communities is so important.

A huge thank you to the organisers, volunteers, and everyone who made the day such a welcoming, joyful and inspiring event. We're grateful to have been part of it and look forward to continuing to support and celebrate our LGBTQ+ community throughout the year.

Want to have fun, meet new people and make a real difference?

We're looking for volunteers to join us at our upcoming fundraising events and collections!

Whether you can spare an hour, a morning, or a whole day, we'd love to have you on board.

Our fundraising days are always full of smiles, great conversations and plenty of community spirit. They're a fantastic way to meet new people, get involved with a.c.e. and support the work we do. 💙

We're also starting to plan our Family Fun Day on Saturday 5 September. If you'd like to gain some event management experience, help organise activities, or volunteer on the day, we'd love to hear from you.
