Lancaster University's International Volunteering Society: part of InterVol UK and working with OXAB (Bulgaria), NAYO (Malawi), Sambhali Trust (India) and Care4Calais (France). 1. Construct a water tank for the local primary school
2. Protect a water source for the local community
3. Build energy efficient stoves in the community
4. Teach local school children about Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH)
OXAB - a 2-3 week placement in Central Bulgaria
1. Fundraise to donate money to local family and day centres.
2. Plan and carry out activities focused on sports, arts & crafts, music and languages for the children attending their sessions. Our society aims to help volunteers organise their project, provide basic training and assist in fundraising activities to pay for the cost of the project.
