We're glad to be able to share that two new collection points have been generously set up by local businesses in Lancaster. 🥳

A collection point in Yorkshire Building Society Lancaster branch (1-5, Ashton Walk, St Nicholas Arcades, LA1 1ND) is now in place and accepting food donations.

Another recently established collection point can be found inside SPAR Willow Lane Lancaster (LA1 5NA).

Many thanks to the teams involved in setting these collection points up for The Olive Branch! 😃

Good News! After our rather dramatic flash flood on Thursday, we have dried out and will be re-open as usual from Tomorrow (Tuesday 25th).

Thank you for bearing with us, and huge thanks to Morecambe Bay Food Bank for handling our referrals in the meantime.

UPDATE ON CLOSURE:
We are still in the process of drying out our centre and have assessed that we will be unable to open on Monday (24th August). We hope to reopen on Tuesday 25th August but will be assessing the situation day-by-day. Please check our page for further updates.

The Olive Branch is more than just a food bank. It's a safe space for someone to talk about anything that is weighing heavy on their mind. Our volunteers listen with compassion, signpost guests to further support where appropriate and offer to pray with guests, if they want this. 🙏💚

Congratulations on this amazing achievement, Cat!

We are so grateful to all those who have donated and supported our work through Cat's fantastic fundraising challenge, helping us to continue supporting people facing hardships in our city 💚

🏃‍♀️ I ran the 10k race yesterday to support one of our local foodbanks The Olive Branch who I’m proud of, they show compassion and meet practical needs in our community.

❤️ Donations are still welcome to support their work (details below in the image) and you’ll see their collection points around Lancaster in schools, churches and shops so if you want to make a food donation they are welcome too.

🙏 Thank you for all your support. Already some of you have approached me about raising money for another local cause at the Morecambe 10k next month… watch this space!
