Celebrating the life and work of Joni Mitchell, through the unique voices of the artists
she continues to inspire.
Following a revered debut at London’s Roundhouse, sold out tours and rave reviews, The
Songs of Joni Mitchell announces new shows and festivals for 2027 – including a special
show at Kendal Library!
Jesca Hoop & Lail Arad, acclaimed singer-songwriters in their own right, will perform intimate
interpretations of their favourite Joni Mitchell songs. They’ll be joined by pianist Richard Sears.
Originally conceived and curated by Lail Arad to mark Joni Mitchell’s 80th birthday, the show was
described as “a perfect celebration of Joni Mitchell” (Get In Her Ears), packed with “heartfelt and
intricate performances”.
Jesca Hoop, just a few months prior, presented Legend: The Joni Mitchell Story, the award-
winning 6-part BBC Radio documentary and podcast about the life of Joni Mitchell, lending
further gravitas to the event.
Ahead of their last tour Jesca, Lail and Kate Stables (This Is The Kit) released a companion EP
on Small Matter Records: The Songs Of Joni Mitchell Vol. 1. These up close and personal
recordings offer fresh interpretations of four treasured Joni songs and provide a lovely hint of
what to expect on stage.
