👀 COMING UP 👀

This July we're hosting a double library bill of Murkage Dave at Coventry and Blackpool Library 🎉

One of the UK's most singular voices, Murkage Dave has spent the last decade crafting a body of work that refuses to fit neatly into any genre box. His music, loosely pop but informed by indie, outsider art, and an instinct for storytelling, is built on honesty, empathy, and fearless social commentary.

His latest album 'Brut Thoughts' connects the inner turbulence of modern life with the fractured world around him, reflecting on internet culture, overstimulation, immigrant experience, political extremism and the power of community. The album channels present-day anger and disillusionment while refusing to lose sight of hope.

"Writing with a journalistic incisiveness, Murkage Dave moves quickly, keeps receipts, refusing to keep his audience at arm’s length." - Line of Best Fit

👂For fans of Talking Heads, Sampha, The Smiths, The Streets.

Get to know Melanie Baker 🤓🎶

Coming up at Coventry Library this June is Melanie Baker, the Newcastle based artist is an expert in finding the humour in heartbreak and the pathos of pain. With pounding drums, fuzzy guitars, and tender lyrical precision, Baker reclaims the grit and spirit of ’90s alt-rock through a q***r, modern lens.

👂For fans of Courtney Love and Courtney Barnett.

🚨NEW GIG ALERT 🚨

The Orielles // Blackpool Central Library // 11.10.2026

The Manc based three-piece return with their fourth studio album ‘Only You Left’. The indie-rock trio are noted for their dance and disco experimentation but their most recent offering returns to their roots, in the words of guitarist Henry; “there’s nothing more trad than a three piece”. And what a three piece they offer; the recent release returns to a song-led approach where lyrics mirror music and wordplay waxes wisdom.

‘Only You Left’ spins in its own unpredictable orbit, pulling out new mysteries from their off centre helix of goth, shoegazing and punk - Mojo Magazine ★★★★

Lauren Auder // Birkenhead Central Library // 27.09.26

With the likes of Celeste, Vegyn, and Jeshi all on her credits list, as well as composing music for Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton campaigns, and modelling for Marni, Mui Mui, Gucci and Celine, Auder has cemented herself as an auteur across the worlds of music and fashion.

Her recently released follow up ‘Whole World As Vigil’ was released this March to critical acclaim, garnering strong support from BBC 6 Music, Pitchfork and other major music press.

“Far more than just a purveyor of irresistible neo-gothic pop, Lauren Auder
